Luca Larenza FW 2018/19
Luca Larenza presented his fall 2018 collection through a small capsule of seemingly vintage-inspired sweaters and ponchos, all with fringe edges and imposing sizes that would put a rug to shame.
Half a dozen models conveyed a strong styling message that is period-specific, like a movie scene of '70s protagonists, a la Lee Majors and Steve McQueen. The sepia-toned walls of the venue (at the lovely Fioraio Bianchi Caffe, my favorite espresso hangout in the Brera district) also bolstered the vintage appeal of the presentation--stylish but not overdone, with clothes that are equally bold and imposing, but translates well in real life, especially among present-day fashion carnivores.
